In 1989 the Run and See Georgia Grand Prix Series started with just 34 races. Since then, it has grown to a high of over 400 races throughout the state, with nearly 100,000 runners or walkers participating each year. In 2021, we anticipate another big year, and we would like to offer you the opportunity to be a part of this exciting and growing running series. Participating races in the series have increased their number of runners by being a part of the Grand Prix each year, as more and more people are discovering the fun and excitement of traveling to run in different cities and seeing other parts of the state.
The primary purpose of the Series is to encourage runners to travel around the state and participate in quality running events, while at the same time seeing some of the great tourist attractions and cities/towns in our state. At these events the runners will earn points for their age group placing, and these points will accumulate over the course of the year, with awards given to our top 10 performers (male and female) in age groups from 10 and under to 85 and over. In addition, great prizes will be given at various points benchmarks (beginning at only 1,000 points) regardless of ranking within the age groups!
